End of Life Option Act Provides Peace of Mind to Terminally Ill Californians
Signed into law on October 5, 2015, and in effect from June 9, 2016, the California End of Life Option Act is a physician-assisted dying law modeled on the Oregon Death with Dignity Act.
The California End of Life Option Act allows certain terminally ill individuals to legally request and obtain from their physician medications to hasten their death and end their life in a humane and dignified manner.
